The story of La Fleur Petrus took a significant turn in 1950 when Jean Pierre Moueix acquired the property. This marked the beginning of the Moueix family's deep roots in Pomerol, which later expanded to include other renowned estates like Chateau Trotanoy and the illustrious Petrus. In 2011, the world’s top wine critic Robert Parker shared 20 exceptional Bordeaux wines from the 2009 vintage that he believed offered extraordinary quality and value, creating “Robert Parker's Magical 20.” La Fleur Petrus secured its place on this prestigious list, with Parker describing the wine as “pure silk and seduction."
