Something for you sherry aficionados out there. Keep your hands off, if you do not like heavily sherried whiskies. A true sherry monster and I love it. Nose Warming, dominated by a rich sherry aroma at first nosing. Chocolate, raisins, prunes and black forest gateau - everything one would expect from such a dark sherried whisky. After a while something from the unfinished whisky comes through, mainly sandalwood. Lovely. Taste Powerful, oily and weet with a heavy rich sherry aroma at first mouthfeel. Black forest cake again, schnapps pralines and old wood. Very tasty. Finish Very long, sweet and heavily sherried.
