The moderately expressive nose has turned almost completely secondary with plenty of earth and subtle spice notes, both of which continue onto the solidly rich and concentrated medium-bodied flavors. There is good verve and reasonably good complexity on the still somewhat firm finish that displays that classic Nuits grip and touch of rusticity. Overall, this has just arrived at the front end of what should be a long window of drinkability, indeed while I doubt that there is much more to be had in terms of upside development potential, there is absolutely no rush to drink up. In sum, this is a very fine Nuits villages.
