A ripe but bright and seductive black cherry fruit nose that exudes ample amounts of Vosne spice is still trimmed in noticeable oak influence leads to very fresh, opulently textured and completely seamless sleek and refined moderately detailed flavors that offer very good length. This is sappy and notably sweet with a hint of backend warmth yet despite all of this, the '00 Cros seems to work anyway, probably because the finishing minerality seems to buffer the sweetness. Overall, despite the fact that this was awkward in its youth it has very much come together and is now drinking perfectly. Tasted several times with mixed results though the last two bottles were as described above.
