Took to a friend's house my second outing after relaxation of lockdown restrictions. Decanted and aerated for about 90 minutes than drank over an hour. At first the nose mainly had dust and black currants. Ruby red color, the wine took 2 hours to balance out to a nose of black currants, aged tobacco, some earth and some cassis. Hints of green there but barely. On the palate medium bodied, very precise mid palate with dark red fruit and tobacco, and a decent finish but not sufficiently complex. At the same price point I would shun most Margaux 96s except the Grand Vin and focus on Pauillac and St Estephe.
