The highly perfumed and relatively high-toned nose speaks of spice and still almost completely primary red berry fruit aromas. The sweet, sappy and extremely intense medium-bodied flavors are more refined than is typical for a Leroy Richebourg, all wrapped in a hugely long finish. This is a great Richebourg displaying exquisite fruit/acid/tannin balance that should permit it to age effortlessly. Tasted several times with mostly consistent notes though there was one clunker that seemed advanced.
