I hadn't tried this in some years and while it remains one very pretty wine it is also a relatively light one for Clos de la Roche. Exuberant aromas have now gone completely secondary in character and there are even hints of sous-bois now in evidence along with earth and leather nuances. There is reasonably good richness and volume to the attractively textured mid-palate though the lingering finish is beginning to lean out somewhat. As such I would be inclined to drink this sooner than later as there is nowhere good for this to go from here.
