Medium expressive iron driven nose displaying ripe concentrated black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, sap, soy, sandalwood, sous bois, Chinese medicine and iron. Excellent concentration, packed black fruit, slightly chewy, bright acidity, strong iron, and a long sweet black fruit driven finish with a hint of Chinese medicine at the end. It clearly displays the opulence of Leroy but also the earthy expression of NSG terroir. Another ideally stored bottle.

A ripe and highly complex nose redolent of a mix of both primary and secondary black and blue fruit aromas nuanced by obvious spice and earth notes that are also reflected by the maturing yet still noticeably tannic medium full-bodied flavors that culminate in dusty, linear and focused finish that displays just a touch of backend dryness that will probably always be present. I recommend drinking this with the appropriate food.
