The 2013 Meursault (this the Narvaux bottling) has a straight-down-the-line, flinty/burnt match nose that we have all come know and love from this domaine. Frankly, nobody achieves the precision like this. The palate is very flattering with great volume married with fine acidity, hints of peach and tangerine, lively and vivacious with a long and tender finish that just goes on and on. This is one of those wines I'll be hunting for on restaurant lists around Burgundy.

(from a bottle tasted in Burgundy). A typical Meursault nose features notes of hazelnut, citrus, pear and a hint of acacia blossom that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is good richness and volume to the relatively full-bodied flavors that thanks to the nicely prominent acid spine retain a fine sense of cut and delineation on the markedly linear and lingering finish that is on the leaner side at present. I should note that with air the flavors filled out somewhat but even so it would be fair to observe that this is still very young and will need another 5 to 7 to arrive at its full maturity.
