Tasted blind, this wine had a deep red/purple center with light red rims. The medium+ intensity nose emantated cola, kirsch, spices, bacon, and some violets. In the mouth, this wine had great richness and fruit density. Yet, it was also well balanced. Every element of this wine was full throttle but it was still drinking well. While drinking nicely, this wine isn't close to showing its best. I would target another 10 years in the cellar. Technically I would have graded it a 94 right now. I will mark it a 95 now because I believe the evolution is guaranteed. However, in 10 I would expect my score to rise a couple points.
