The nose on this particular bottle displays a distinct touch of reduction so I would suggest decanting it for half an hour first. The funk though could not completely hide the stone and straw aromas, which dissolve into round and riper flavors that deliver serious punch and energy on the sappy and palate staining finish. This is an explosive wine with simply unbelievable length. My score awards the benefit of the doubt.
