This was the only wine in the entire range that displayed any reduction and here it was enough to block a fair reading of the nose though it did not seem so severe that 20 minutes or so of aeration wouldn't dissipate it. The rich, intense and relatively supple medium-weight plus flavors possess excellent power and punch on the impressively persistent finish. This seemed youthfully awkward at the time of the tasting and it's possible that I did not get a completely accurate read and as such, benefit of the doubt extended.
