Wonderfully elegant and distinctly cool aromas are comprised by notes of pretty dark berries that exhibit hints of spice, rose petal, sauvage and earth. The highly energetic, detailed and focused middle weight plus flavors display evident minerality while firm but fine tannins shape the still youthfully austere, focused and chiseled finale. While clearly still very young, it is not especially austere and I very much like the balance. This beauty is coming along slowly but surely and another 6 to 10 years of keeping should see it at its apogee. Textbook Ruchottes.
