Moderate bricking. The nose has now gone full-on sous-bois in character with warm earth, spice and smoked game wisps appearing in the background. There is a lovely sense of both vibrancy and depth to the lightly stony medium weight flavors that are shaped by still somewhat raspy tannins on the noticeably warm finish. The balance isn't perfect but the nose is clean with none of the slightly funky rot-tinged aromas that many '94s display today and overall, this is an impressively good effort in the context of the vintage.
