Distilled in 1990, this was matured in a hogshead before being moved into a new American oak hogshead for a second maturation period. It was then bottled in 2007.

I love the whisky from this sadly silent destillery. This bottling is a nice example how rich and bold Hanyu can taste. Too good for being a collectors item only. Nose Intensive and full flavored. Metaxa brandy, cocoa and toffee. The influence of the wood from the original and the finishing cask is strong but very pleasant. Taste Powerful, rich and oaky with various spices (mainly pepper) and liquorice. Finish Long, oaky, peppery, dry, slightly sour and very pleasant.
