This is one of the Mercian bottlings produced in the 1990s and early 2000s. This limited bottling contains whisky aged between 12 and 31 years of age and was a gold award winner at the International Wine and Spirit Competition 2001.

Very rare whiskey to be reckoned with. It has something special and challenges the senses. All in all, a whiskey that is unfortunately becoming more and more expensive, which I really liked. Nose Green apple fruitiness present but not dominant. Dates and raisins stronger. Very fine smoke perceptible, a little clearer malt and vanilla, goes in the direction of vanilla pudding. Light resinous spice. Taste Here, too, a light, fine smoke is perceptible. The bitter-sweet chocolate is dominant and immediately noticeable, with a clear hint of vanilla. Finish medium length, slightly bitter malt. Oak pushes through well.
