Earthy, relatively elegant nose of dark fruits and a touch of underbrush merges with medium weight, nicely precise, punchy flavors of good depth and extract if not necessarily great density or power. This is a relatively elegant wine of obvious class and only a touch of the youthful aggressiveness and austerity of young Clos Vougeot. I would suggest holding this for another 3 to 5 years and drinking up over the next 10.
