A discreet hint of wood toast frames rather floral and plumy aromas replete with a plethora of Asian spice notes but also a subtle touch of the vegetal that continues onto the round, rich, velvety and ripe flavors that are supported by reasonably well-integrated tannins that are completely coated in sap. This finishes with solid length and intensity and while the '00 Musigny is certainly very stylish, it's also ever-so-slightly awkward now. It's entirely possible that this aspect will change with time as it is clearly still in its ascendancy. Either way this is clearly at an inflection point in its evolution and I would not advise opening one for at least the next few years.
