Relatively deep golden color. There is evident maturity to the ever-so-mildly exotic-infused aromas of both white and yellow peach, lychee and pear compote, all of which is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is excellent richness, volume and mid-palate concentration to the powerful and serious medium-bodied flavors that exude plenty of the hallmark minerality before culminating in a long if slightly warm finish. As my description suggests, there is a nit or two present but overall, this is a very good if not brilliant effort by the typically elevated standards of the Lafon Perrières. I would note however that even from magnum format this appears to have reached its peak.
