Deep and serious nose that is mostly all about yeast, toasted nuts and yellow curry. The fruit feels a bit withdrawn but some yellow apples and grilled lemons comes through. Really intensive and complex on the palate with a dense mouthfeel that makes the wine feel almost heavy. That razor sharp acidity helps a bit. Long and intensive finish that almost sticks to your palate. Undeniably premium quality and a fascinating wine but compared to the 2011 Aviet Arbois Reserve du Caveau tasted side by side this lacked a bit tension and nerve today. This probably needs air or preferably more time in the cellar.
