Stunning performance from this well stored bottle (base of neck fill). At first brownish, rusty color and a thin tertiary nose. Then the hoped for old- wine-rejunevates-miracle: slowly picking up color and density, fruit coming back into the nose and after 10 minutes we were drinking a very, very good, attractive fully mature Bordeaux, outperforming its vintage by lightyears. Soft, even juicy, sweet, but with still good grip and acidity left. After 90 minutes the wine was still singing. Another example of Chateau Latour producing an excellent vin-de-garde in a mediocre year.
