The 2021 Hermitage la Chapelle Blanc is a rare bottling that is only made in vintages when certain parcels of the vineyard stand out. This year, it's exclusively unoaked Marsanne from the lieu-dit of Maison Blanche. Crushed stone, white nectarine and lime zest mark the nose, while the palate is medium-bodied and direct, showing some contained intensity and plenty of length. While a Chablisien style of Hermitage, it does show a bit more roundness and flesh than the 2020.
