Tasted blind at Chez Bruce, this is a magnificent wine considering the vintage. Deep in colour, the bouquet is a roiling melange of dark berried fruits, black olive, sage, tertiary scents and undergrowth, building just magnificently in the glass with outstanding definition. I am transfixed! The palate does not quite reach the ethereal heights of the aromatics, but it is beautifully balance, feminine, stepping lightly into the secondary stage with touches of Provencal herbs and espresso interlacing the sensuous dark fruits. Very harmonious on the finish. Moderate, rather than great length. Superb
