Despite now being 7 years old, this remains admirably pure and youthfully fresh with its expressive and dense nose of orchard fruit and intensely floral aromas that offer impressive complexity. In typical Bâtard fashion this is quite powerful and dense with sleekly muscled big-bodied flavors that possess remarkable amounts of dry extract that largely if not completely buffer the firm acid spine on the almost painfully intense and stunningly long finish that is notably dry. While this could easily be enjoyed now as depth and vibrancy make it a joy to drink, I would advise holding it for another 3 to 5 years first as more depth will almost certainly develop. In short, this is a really impressive Bâtard that is very clearly still on the way up.
