The most recent bottle was entirely premoxed. From a note taken in 2004: The purity of expression here is simply magnificent with the classic assertive mineral character that suffuses this wine from beginning to end. Superbly well balanced with rich, indeed pungent, harmonious and beautifully complex flavors supported by a solid acid spine continuing into the lengthy, almost painfully intense finish. If there is a nit despite the superb raw materials, it's that this is not a particularly elegant wine, in fact it's borderline robust. That said, this is a mouthful of wine that makes a firm statement and one that should drink well for a long time.
