While there is a hint of the exotic present on the admirably fresh white and yellow orchard fruit nose though it is decidedly less evident than in many '06s today and I'm sure that this is undoubtedly aided by the large format bottling. There is admirable concentration to the attractively mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that possess fine intensity on the rich, palate coating and lingering finish. For my taste this is knocking on the door of its full maturity even in magnum format and while another year or two should add a bit of depth, it could easily be enjoyed now.
