This latest bottle took a while to get rolling as it was quite closed at first but slowly subtle secondary notes began to emerge along with dazzling aromas of dried rose petal, dark berriesand plenty of classic RSV spice. There is a striking inner mouth perfumed to the concentrated, powerful and penetrating medium weight plus flavors that display excellent depth and fine length. However, the finish displays touches of warmth and dryness that stops short of being astringent but it detracts somewhat from the overall sense of harmony. For my taste this is drinking just about perfectly now though the '95 RSV is a wine that will still be in fine form 20+ years from now. Multiple, and relatively consistent if not identical, notes.
