As is the case with the 2012s, this is aromatically similar to the regular cuvée though in this case it is clearly more reserved. This is virtually always the case this is a really big, even massive wine yet there is nothing unduly heavy or clumsy about its delivery as the terrific concentration buffers the very firm tannic spine on the dusty and palate staining finish that exhibits superb persistence. This is going to require plenty of time and is likely to be one of the most long-lived wines of the 2011 vintage.
