A fully mature and decidedly ripe but not roasted nose is comprised by a mix of mostly earthy secondary dark berry fruit aromas that are trimmed in hints of sous-bois and anise. There is very good richness, size and volume to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that flash good power and muscle on the slightly warm and raspy yet reasonablly well-balanced finale. While mature and with no upside development potential remaining, the magnum format should permit this to hold for several more decades. A good but not exceptional performance.
