An expressive and attractively fresh nose freely offers up intricately layered aromas of spiced apple, poached pear, citrus confit and a whiff of exotic jasmine tea. The big-bodied, intense and imposingly powerful flavors drench the palate in dry extract that also buffers the firm acid spine shaping the compact, powerful and lingering finish where a touch of bitter citrus character slowly emerges. While this could use a bit more depth, that should occur if it is allowed adequate time to mature.
