Bought on auction recently. Bottle and cork in good condition. Medium yellow gold, with light, fine perlage. Citrus, apple, tangerine, almond paste, hazelnut, toast, brioche, and smoke, with fresh acidity, and great persistence. The mousse is comprised of fine bubbles and very smooth. There is a pleasant light bitterness that adds additional freshness. Good complexity. The champagne benefits from aeration and becomes more and more harmonious as time passes. I did not expect the 1995 to e so youthful and fresh. Well-kept bottles, I particular magnums, should continue to drink well for another ten years. A very good vintage for DP, and a great champagne!
