Discreet oak nuances are present on the spicier if not quite as complex nose that blends notes of violet and lavender with those of red and dark currant. There is better volume to the caressing and velvety medium weight flavors that deliver slightly better length on the somewhat firmer finish where the only nit is a touch of warmth. This has a proven track record for developing fine complexity in bottle and more depth should gradually develop in time.
