This is fully mature yet still reasonably fresh with delicious, round and impressively full-bodied flavors that are rich, forward and nicely long. While there is good density here, this lacks the complexity that one expects from top flight Corton-Charlemagne though there is moderate minerality in evidence. Multiple and consistent notes save for two bottles where one was clearly tiring and the other lacked much in the way of flavor interest. In sum, this is only an average vintage in the context of the usual quality found in this wine.
