Light medium gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes plus. This had a lovely maturuty to it, and while it was substantially lacking in bubbles there was a harmonious quality and no lack of Champagne character. The nose brings apples and chalky mineral notes, while the palate offers chalk, stone, white apples, lemon oil, creme de caramel, and a light oxidative note while remaining remarkably fresh and engaging. This was still bright, though when next to the '06 CdC you surely recognize the age difference.
