Interestingly, this is actually slightly more mature than the Meurgers with more overall depth and nuance than its stable mate and while the flavors are rich, complex and long, the finish is beginning to lean out and displays a touch of the dryness that many '86s now show. To be sure, this is still a very solid effort but overall, it's no more interesting than the Meurgers.
