A nice and mellow sherry monster with a nice mouth feel and overall flavor that leaves you wishing there was a little more to the nose and finish. It does kind of grow on you, though. The nose is somewhat obscured (by the wood?).There is raspberry jam, balsamic vinegar, Darjeeling tea, and dried figs on the palate. The finish is not short, but perhaps a little drawn by the tannins, though it winds upward to close on an up note.I think there must be some casks with fairly good age on them in this bottling.
