Descriptions, Ratings & Tasting Notes

'The Celtic Legend of the Dragon.' This travel retail exclusive is named after the sea dragon Kranna Dubh, who legend has it once occupied the sea loch, Loch Indaal, which overlooks Bowmore distillery. The dragon was slain by the Scottish warrior, Fingal with his magical sword. It is said to this day the surface of Loch Indaal still turn red with the dragon's blood as the sun sets, and old Islay mothers can be heard scolding their children for disturbing the water.

Bottled in 2006.

Nose Subtle note of smoke, tropical fruits (mango, passion fruit, maracuja), a pinch of white pepper Taste Subtle smoke, light sweetness, surprisingly hardly noticeable the fruit that was still so present in the nose. Some butterscotch, light oat note, a hint of burnt toffee Finish The light sweetness and subtle bitterness from the barrel in combination with light smoke remain in the mouth for about 2-3 minutes
