Macallan, a distillery of which I have not tasted that many expressions. A distillery which has a very modern appearance and fancy design. But also a distillery with a kind of a dark side: The price / quality ration of their modern expressions does not seam to be well balanced. I keep away from their modern and recent core range bottlings. But if I can lay may hands on the old stuff (sample only - full bottles I cannot afford), I definitely step forward. This Cadenhead bottling is a pretty fine one. Great nose with full body, waxy and oily taste. Finish is medium in length.
