A gentle touch of wood spice frames spicy, seductive and fragrant black berry fruits that complement perfectly the sexy, silky and mouth coating flavors that possess a really lovely velvety texture on the long and impressively harmonious finish. This is a wine of elegance and finesse yet it doesn't lack for mid-palate punch and the tannins are already well-integrated. I quite like this and while it's not a great Amoureuses by the formidable standards of this wine, it's certainly a fine effort in the context of the vintage.
