This remains quite deeply colored with no bricking. A wonderfully expressive and intensely spicy black fruit nose that is now offering hints of soy, anise and sandalwood along with a mix of primary and secondary fruit aromas leads to rich, velvety, relatively round and generous full-bodied flavors with excellent power and length. This is robust and masculine Musigny that is most impressive as it delivers the class and sheer elegance that one expects from one of the greatest terroirs in Burgundy. Note that while this will age for another two decades, perhaps longer, it has finally arrived at the front end of its prime drinking window. Consistent notes.
