This was a first growth long lunch. The CB came 2nd after Latour, then Mouton, Lafite, Margaux and Haut Brian. Surprising as we were having the 2000 Lafite and did not shine. It was still closed. But the 1994 Latour was singing and still has years to go. The CB from my cellar was just past its prime, there was edgy orange rim, already mushroom, Fig, liquorice, toast.It had nuances of red fruits rather than black fruits. The finish had a slight bitter edge, probably from the high percentage of Cabernet Franc. Medium body.
