A very ripe yet still reasonably fresh nose is composed by notes of white orchard compote, floral and soft wood scents that now exhibit moderate secondary character. There is excellent richness and concentration to the delicious, lush and palate soaking flavors that brim with sappy dry extract before culminating in a long if slightly ponderous finish. This is drinking as well now as it ever will and is a perfectly good 2003; with that said, it remains an '03.
