There is a discreet but not invisible touch of volatile acidity to the expressive nose that is comprised mostly by notes of Asian-style tea, sous-bois and subtle spice elements. There is good vibrancy and detail to the velvet-textured middle weight flavors though the finish is marred by noticeable gas on the mildly edgy finish. Tasted twice in the last year and the second bottle was less interesting than the first, meriting only 85 points.
