Deep golden. An intensely aromatic and expressive white flower fruit nose framed in ample oak is followed by opulent yet superbly detailed flavors of stunning intensity, wonderful elegance and the unmistakable finesse of great Chevalier. This is really quite dense and almost unctuous yet the acidity is so bracing that this seems light on its feet rather than heavy. The oak isn't shy but there is so much density here that it doesn't detract from the elegance and while this should continue to improve, it's not so far away from its peak that it couldn't be enjoyed now.
